Zusammenfassung

The Samaritans Cape Cod and the Islands is seeking a strategic, development-focused leader to advance our suicide prevention and bereavement mission. This fully remote role requires residence on Cape Cod, with a strong track record in fundraising strategy and donor relations.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will build a sustainable program, manage a diverse donor portfolio, and collaborate with the Board to achieve ambitious revenue goals while ensuring ethical, data-driven practices.

Qualifikationen

• Proven success in nonprofit fundraising and revenue growth.
• Experience securing major gifts, grants, sponsorships, or similar support.
• Strong writing and speaking skills for donor proposals and impact messages.
• Ability to collaborate with executives, boards, volunteers, and partners.
• Comfort with donor databases, reporting, and data-driven decisions.
• Capable of remote work with strong communication and accountability.

Aufgaben

• Lead development plan with goals, timelines, and revenue targets.
• Manage donor portfolio including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and major gift prospects.
• Research funding opportunities and oversee grant proposals and reports.
• Develop corporate sponsorships and community partnerships.
• Equip board and volunteers with tools and training for fundraising.
• Maintain donor data, gift processing, and segmentation reporting.
• Provide regular fundraising reports to ED, committee, and Board.
• Aim for self-sustaining revenue growth by end of year two.
