Job summary

Equal Justice Works is seeking a Development Coordinator to support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individuals and foundations. The role will leverage the CRM for data-driven fundraising, including compiling donations, researching prospects, and assisting with grant applications.

The position is hybrid, near our Washington DC office, reporting to the Senior Manager of Development Operations, and collaborating with the team to implement fundraising plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of experience in fundraising or nonprofit development.
• Experience with CRM/donor management software and data integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across teams.
• Discretion handling confidential donor information; passion for Equal Justice Works’ mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development Operations Manager in maintaining the Unit’s prospect pipelines in CRM.
• Research prospects and support grant applications and donor reports.
• Generate prospect reports.
• Support formatting of donor meeting presentations and campaign updates.
