Datadog is seeking a Platform Engineer/ SRE/ DevOps expert to serve as a subject matter expert for service management, incident response, and production operations. You will collaborate with advocacy and engineering teams to run on-call, post-incident reviews, and SLOs, leveraging Datadog and related tools.

You’ll create content—demos, talks, blogs, documentation—and coach internal teams on effective communication.

Qualifications

5+ years as Platform/SRE/DevOps engineer with on-call experience.
Strong understanding of incident response, SLOs, and on-call practices.
Experience with Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Jira, Cortex.
2+ years in storytelling/content creation (talks, blogs, demos).
Publicly available writing samples or presentations on technical topics.
Proficient in at least one scripting language and APIs.
Interest in exploring new technologies and languages.

Responsibilities

Act as SME for service management for Datadog’s advocacy and engineering teams.
Create content to build Datadog’s reputation (demos, talks, blogs, docs, webinars).
Partner with product teams to build demos and coach engineers on communication.
Interface with open source communities to drive messaging and integrations.
Contribute to the product through feedback, documentation, or code.
