Job summary

Arango is seeking a Developer Relations engineer to lead our first dedicated developer advocacy efforts. You will build reference apps, publish benchmarks, and teach in public, shaping our developer community and feedback loops into product direction.

Join a role reporting to product (not marketing) and own content, events, and hands-on code while working remotely with some Bay Area presence. Experience with graph data, GraphRAG, and LangChain-like ecosystems is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Engineer by title, capable of building and debugging real, non-trivial applications.
• Hands-on production experience with LLM applications and retrieval pipelines.
• 3+ years of Python; proficiency in at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Java.
• Proven ability to publish technical content with real-world impact.
• Comfort with talks, workshops, or live-coding and handling tough questions.

Responsibilities

• Build reference applications, quickstarts, and sample repos for end-to-end problems.
• Publish benchmarks and transparently report limitations and wins.
• Teach in public through posts, talks, and live builds.
• Engage with AI engineers in communities, meetups, and conferences.
• Provide feedback to product teams to influence roadmap.
