Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an Engineering Manager – Design Engineering to lead the day‑to‑day design activities across multiple projects. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs and manage schedules, ensuring deliverables meet standards and timelines.

You will lead a team of design engineers, coordinate with procurement, fabrication, and sales engineering, and drive improvement in design tools and processes while maintaining high quality and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, fabricated products, or engineered‑to‑order environments.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Strong understanding of design release, configuration control, engineering BOMs and change management.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, procurement, project management and customer‑facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day design engineering execution across multiple projects.
• Translate customer requirements into complete engineering deliverables.
• Develop and maintain engineering schedules aligned with approvals and manufacturing dates.
• Ensure design packages, BOMs, and drawings are complete and released on time.
• Coach and develop design engineers and engineering leads.
• Manage workload, performance reviews, and staffing for the design team.
