Job summary

Techtronic Industries - TTI in Anderson, SC is seeking a Project Management - Design Engineer to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives for mass production support and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with NPD engineering, sourcing, quality, product management, and global manufacturing teams to ensure performance, cost, and user value.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 4+ years' experience and strong DFMA, cost modeling, and project leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 4+ years in related field.
• Experience managing low to moderately complex product development projects.
• Understanding of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects to aggressive schedules.
• Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
• Knowledge of DFMA, cost modeling, teardown benchmarking, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and project management tools.
• Up to 10% international travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership over multiple low to moderately complex engineering projects.
• Drive comprehensive plans and schedules to meet milestones.
• Coordinate planning efforts for low to moderate complexity projects; identify critical path tasks and risks.
• Monitor progress and provide status updates on schedule, cost, and risks.
• Lead technical tradeoff discussions focusing on cost, schedule, and performance.
• Escalate project developments or issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Apply understanding of the Product Development Process from conception to launch.
• Interpret data and make design recommendations using simulations and analyses.
