Leidos is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer across technical execution, multi-cloud operations, and DevSecOps for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next contract.

You will collaborate with product owners and program management to turn customer requirements into secure, rapid-delivery software across DoD enclaves. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering and 12+ years of prior technical experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering leadership in defense programs.
• Advanced proficiency with IaC/CaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab Runners).
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipeline processes and best practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and secure containerization standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maturation of enterprise CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud environments.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging DevSecOps tools and automated security scanning.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) scripts for DoD IL 2, 4, 5, 6.
• Review cloud configurations across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI for security and resiliency.
• Embed automated configuration monitoring and continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) strategies to meet RMF and STIG requirements.
• Mentor cross-functional DevOps and engineering teams translating strategy into technical delivery.
