Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to directly support the Chief Engineer across technical execution, multi-cloud operations, and DevSecOps innovation for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next contract.
You will help translate customer requirements into technical direction and ensure rapid, secure application delivery within DoD enclaves. You will mentor cross-functional teams, lead enterprise tooling, and advance IaC/CaC practices, RMF/ STIG compliance, and automated testing across AWS,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering with 12+ years of experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
- 5+ years of engineering leadership in defense programs.
- Experience with IaC/CaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab Runners).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps in multi-cloud DoD environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise CI/CD pipelines across Cloud One ecosystem.
- Evaluate and integrate DevSecOps tools and security scanning.
- Develop IaC/CaC scripts for DoD IL 2-6.
- Review cloud configurations across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI for security.
- Embed RMF and STIG compliance into delivery pipelines.
- Mentor cross-functional DevOps and engineering teams.
