Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in technical execution for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next contract. In this role, you'll manage enterprise tooling, cloud environments, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and at least 12 years of technical experience, with proficiency in DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code practices. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salaries.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of prior technical experience in the field.
• Minimum of 5 years leading software, cloud, or systems engineering teams.
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipeline processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and scaling of enterprise-wide CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging DevSecOps tools.
• Implement complex Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code scripts.
• Support review of cloud configurations for security alignment.
• Embed automated configuration monitoring into delivery pipeline.
• Serve as a mentor for cross-functional DevOps and engineering teams.
