Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer in Tewksbury, MA, to support the Chief Engineer in technical execution and innovation for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next contract. This role includes managing cloud environments and cybersecurity compliance while providing technical leadership and mentorship.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, 12+ years of experience, and an active DoD Secret Clearance. Key responsibilities include leading CI/CD pipeline implementations, evaluating emerging tools, and ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of prior technical experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years providing technical direction in defense programs.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and maturity of enterprise-wide CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and prototype emerging DevSecOps tools.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code.
• Support cloud configurations review across multiple platforms.
• Assist in embedding automated configuration monitoring strategies.
