Job summary

Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) is seeking an engineer/analyst to support the wholesale electricity market. You will analyze loads and market performance using SQL and Excel, communicating requirements to Market Participants and solving performance issues.

The role requires studying market trends, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing tooling for data acquisition and reporting. On-site Taylor, TX with a strong focus on grid operations and ERCOT protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience in Demand Response is preferred.
Familiarity with ERCOT protocols and market structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitors system conditions and market performance of the wholesale electricity market.
Works with internal and external stakeholders on issues related to the wholesale market construct within the ERCOT Protocols.
Gathers and analyzes data to support market operations and grid reliability.
Prepares and validates models of electric power systems and conducts data analysis for reporting.
Generates market reports per requests and supports technical inquiries from stakeholders.
