Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters and deadlines.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle defense litigation matters including personal injury, property damage, negligence, subrogation, and other civil disputes.
• Investigate claims and analyze legal and factual issues.
• Develop case strategies and evaluate litigation risks and exposure.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Manage discovery processes, document review activities, expert coordination, and litigation hold compliance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain litigation calendars, budgets, case plans, deadlines, and status reports.
• Support additional commercial and civil litigation matters as needed.
