Genuine Search Group partners with a national civil defense litigation firm to recruit California-barred attorneys for its California practice group. This is a fully remote opportunity with flexible hours in Labor & Employment.

Responsibilities include managing a diverse civil defense caseload, drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and appearing at hearings. Remote collaboration with partners and colleagues is essential, with generous bonus opportunities based on billable hours.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school is required.
• Active California bar license in good standing is required.
• 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in Labor & Employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil defense caseload from inception to resolution.
• Draft and respond to complaints, motions, and written discovery; take/defend depositions; appear at hearings.
• Conduct legal research, negotiate settlements, and communicate with clients; collaborate with partners on case strategy.
• Mentor junior associates where applicable.
• Work effectively in a fully remote environment.
