ICON plc in Washington, DC seeks an entrepreneurial Associate Business Development Director to expand the defense business across MILCON to MilTech, with autonomy to shape opportunities and win complex federal contracts.

The role partners with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams, requires up to 30% travel, and reports to the Senior Director, Prime Business Development & Government Affairs.

Formación

• 7+ years of business development, capture management, or program management in DoD or military construction.
• Experience with federal agencies, DoD organizations, or military construction and contracting processes.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, OTAs, IDIQs, DIU and AFWERX pathways, SBIR/STTR, and MILCON.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to government stakeholders and craft proposals.
• Proven relationship-building and networking with government agencies and DoD leadership.
• Experience engaging senior DoD stakeholders at the Pentagon or major commands.
• Familiarity with UFC and military design standards; entrepreneurial, startup-speed mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Security clearance eligibility (Secret or TS/SCI) preferred.
• Interest in design-build, OTA construction, or advanced defense delivery methods.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand ICON Prime's DoD presence.
• Build and manage a federal pipeline; engage with program offices and contracting officers early.
• Cultivate relationships with USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, DIU, AFWERX and service commands.
• Lead capture end-to-end: qualification, gate reviews, proposals, and negotiations.
• Pursue MILCON, OTA, design-build, and IDIQ opportunities; guide pricing and teaming strategy.
• Develop briefings, white papers, and capability narratives for generals and senior officials.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory teams to align solutions with UFC.
• Maintain pipeline data in HubSpot and support Prime leadership with reviews.
