Job summary

John H. Carter Co., Inc. seeks a skilled engineer to design, develop, implement, test, startup and tune process control system automation projects. The role requires deep knowledge of process control concepts, strong programming acumen, and attention to detail with a focus on safety at customer sites.

Regular travel to remote industrial sites is expected, with emphasis on on-site supervision, FATs, commissioning and startup support. Experience with DeltaV/PRoVOX/RS3/AMS/ROC/PLC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of process control concepts and strong programming acumen.
• Ability to lead design, development, testing, startup and tuning of control systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote customer sites, including offshore/boat/air travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead in project execution and interface with project managers and customers on technical design and progress.
• Oversee cabinet drawings review per manufacturer design specs and FAT procedures.
• Provide DCS technical support and participate in commissioning, loop checkout, and startup activities.
• Support sales personnel and product principals; build strong customer relationships.
