Job summary

John H Carter Company / ControlWorx is seeking a skilled engineer to install and maintain distributed control systems (DCS) and SIS at customer sites. The role includes system design, software installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support across industrial environments.

You will travel to remote sites, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with FAT, startup, and upgrades while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of process control concepts and instrumentation experience.
• 5 years' experience with DCS and/or PLC systems and commissioning.
• 5 years programming with modern DCS languages; DeltaV knowledge preferred.
• Experience with AMS Device Manager is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide DCS and SIS technical support to customers using DeltaV DCS/SIS and AMS Device Manager.
• Design, install software, perform staging, customer witness testing, and startup.
• Active Directory, DNS design and virtualization environment maintenance.
• Develop and maintain control system networks, wireless design and maintenance.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and verify contract deliverables.
• Support software upgrade audits, FAT, commissioning and startup.
• Participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage and occasional travel.
