Job summary

PhoenixAI is seeking a Database Support Engineer to guide onboarding, deployment, adoption, and long-term customer success for the Agentic Database. You’ll act as the technical point of contact post-sale, ensuring customers realize sustained value and collaborating with sales to drive revenue growth.

Role requires 5+ years in pre-/post-sales, strong SQL and data modeling skills, and experience with OLAP workloads and distributed data processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales and/or post-sales role such as solutions engineering, technical consulting or customer success engineering, ideally within the data analytics, database, or cloud infrastructure space.
• Hands-on experience with OLAP workloads, query optimization, and data modeling (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Deep understanding of distributed data processing system theory.
• Familiar with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ambition & curiosity to learn PhoenixAI Agentic Database product’s intricacies and grow into the role.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to engineers and C-level executives.
• Problem-solving skills in PoCs and adapting solutions to customer needs.
• Sales & customer success mindset with experience supporting technical evaluations and driving revenue growth.
• Bonus points for knowledge of BI tools and streaming processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Deployment: Guide new customers through implementation and deployment, ensuring solutions architected during the sales cycle are realized in production.
• Adoption & Expansion: Drive product adoption, resolve technical issues, and identify opportunities for expansion after sale.
• Customer Advocacy: Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and represent their interests internally.
• Technical Health & Optimization: Monitor account health, troubleshoot production issues, and suggest architecture or configuration improvements.
• Feedback loop to product/engineering: Relay patterns and pain points to the core teams.
• PoC Support to Presales: Assist with design or execution of PoCs when presales bandwidth requires.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of evaluations, PoCs, use cases, challenges, and outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with sales to align technical discussions with business goals and close deals.
• Marketing Support & Thought Leadership: Deliver webinars, staff booths, speak at events, write blogs on Agentic AI use cases.
