Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, is seeking a Data Scientist to shape the next generation of AI/ML technologies. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and PMs to drive hands-on innovation, set technical direction, and lead GenAI initiatives across safety, red-teaming, and deployments.

You’ll mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, and help scale AI capabilities while balancing performance and cost, in a remote-friendly U.S. environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of applied ML/research experience with production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training or deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and strategy development.
• Proficiency in Python, DL frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative AI safety and cyber-detection solutions with the team.
• Lead end-to-end R&D: data sourcing/labeling, modeling, evaluation, and product-ready engineering.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Drive GenAI/LLM research and deployment strategies in collaboration with security experts.
• Balance accuracy, efficiency, and operational costs in deployed models.
• Shape model architectures and training/deployment approaches for GenAI agents.
• Mentor Data Scientists and foster engineering excellence.
• Align technical strategy with business goals through cross-functional initiatives.
