Job summary

jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Data Product Governance Lead in the United States. This strategy-and-Hands-on leadership role focuses on discoverable, trusted data products within a modern cloud platform.

You will shape catalog, lineage, metadata, certification, data quality, and data contracts while partnering with Data Platform engineers to automate governance and publication checks. Remote work with national scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years across data governance, data products, platforms, or related fields.
• Hands-on with data catalogs, metadata management, and lineage in a modern cloud platform.
• Experience defining data product standards: ownership, documentation, discoverability, lifecycle.
• Experience with data quality and data contracts incl. freshness, schema versioning, and change mgmt.
• Knowledge of RBAC, data classification, masking, and access controls.
• Experience owning a backlog/roadmap for platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and improve standards data products must meet before publication.
• Partner with engineers to automate publication checks and quality controls.
• Develop reusable templates and guidance for domain teams.
• Establish metadata, lineage, data quality, and data contracts standards.
• Translate governance requirements into engineering-ready specs and acceptance criteria.
• Own backlog and roadmap for catalog, metadata, lineage, publication, certification.
• Work hands-on with Snowflake Horizon Catalog and related capabilities.
• Monitor governance and adoption metrics such as metadata completeness and catalog usage.
