Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Data Product Governance Lead in the United States. This strategic, hands-on role focuses on making data products discoverable, trusted, well-documented, and ready for broad consumption on a modern cloud data platform.

You will own the standards, controls, and capabilities that enable publishers and consumers to work efficiently with data. You will shape catalog, lineage, metadata, certification, data quality, and data contracts, while driving governance across the

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Bring 7+ years of experience across data governance, data products, data platforms, data architecture, analytics engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience implementing governance capabilities such as data catalogs, metadata management, and lineage.
• Define and implement data product standards for ownership, certification, documentation, discoverability, and lifecycle management.
• Establish data quality and data contract standards including freshness, completeness, and schema versioning.
• Knowledge of RBAC, data classification, masking, and row/column-level access controls.

Responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve standards for data products before publication.
• Automate publication checks, certification criteria, and quality controls with platform tooling.
• Create reusable templates and guidance for domain teams to meet standards with minimal overhead.
• Shape metadata, lineage, data quality, and data contracts with clear readiness indicators.
• Collaborate with Data Platform engineers to implement dataset-specific quality rules.
• Own backlog and roadmap for catalog, metadata, lineage, publication, and related capabilities.
• Work hands-on with catalog and lineage platforms to support discovery and trust.
• Translate governance requirements into engineering-ready specs and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor governance and adoption metrics like metadata completeness and catalog usage.
• Lead a governance function as the platform matures.
