Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Product Management Analyst to own data products and drive value from enterprise data platforms. You will translate complex data needs into actionable user stories, backlog ownership, and collaborate with engineering while using SQL to validate data and inform decisions.

This remote role prefers candidates in the DMV area and focuses on data governance, quality rules, and dashboards across datasets and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years as a Product Manager delivering data-centric products (analytics, governance, engineering).
• SQL proficiency demonstrated in validating datasets and metrics.
• Proven ability to run Scrum end-to-end and translate requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for data products (datasets, pipelines, quality rules, dashboards).
• Convert stakeholder requirements into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria; maintain backlog.
• Define metrics (adoption, data quality, SLA) and track value realization.
• Run Scrum ceremonies and coordinate with Scrum Master to remove impediments and keep delivery predictable.
• Partner with data governance to establish stewardship workflows, standards, and data quality rules/scorecards.
• Collaborate with data engineers on ingestion, transformation, and performance optimization; validate with SQL and tests.
• Lead discovery sessions and craft data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and release notes.
