Job summary

Reed Smith LLP seeks a Data Integration Senior Engineer to lead data platform engineering, DataOps, and enterprise integration. You will drive production-grade pipelines, APIs, and interfaces connecting internal systems and external data sources.

You will co-design end-to-end solutions, define non-functional requirements, and establish standards for release, observability, and cost efficiency while collaborating with capability owners and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience leading data platform engineering and DataOps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as hands-on technical lead for data platform engineering, DataOps, and enterprise integration.
• Co-design end-to-end solutions with capability owners, defining integration boundaries and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and operate production-grade batch, near-real-time, and event-driven pipelines, APIs, services, and interfaces.
• Create reusable connectors and integration patterns to reduce brittle point-to-point integrations.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards for source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
• Define and monitor service levels and non-functional requirements for availability, latency, and cost.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability for data services.
• Diagnose incidents and improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across pipelines.
