Job summary

Reed Smith LLP seeks a Senior Manager of Data Foundation & Readiness to lead enterprise data governance and readiness initiatives. The role partners with IT Data Architect and Strategic Insights to ensure data is structured, governed, and fit for analytics and AI use.

You will lead the Data Integrity team, define data standards, evaluate new data sources, and ensure scalable processes for evolving data needs across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field required; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in enterprise data management or analytics strategy.
• Experience leading a data team and collaborating with IT.

Responsibilities

• Own data readiness across systems to enable reliable analytics and AI consumption.
• Define data meaning, taxonomy, master data, and context; enforce standards and change management.
• Drive data quality improvements across systems, including data flows and data completeness.
• Support identification and relationships across entities (clients, companies, people, matters).
• Align curated datasets to use cases in pricing, staffing, growth, benchmarking, and modeling.
• Anticipate downstream modeling needs and shape data structures.
