Job summary

Kard Financial, Inc. is seeking an Software Engineering Manager, Data to lead a 12-person multidisciplinary team spanning data engineering, analytics, data science, ML engineering, and data support. You will shape technical direction and guide architecture while contributing where useful.

The role reports to the Director of Data & Platform and emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and delivering scalable data solutions for product and GTM needs.

Qualifications

• Leads a technical data team across multi-disciplinary roles.
• Evaluates architectures and guides implementation decisions.
• Balances platform scale, reliability, and maintainability.
• Translates stakeholder needs into concrete data and ML capabilities.
• Manages performance and supports career growth of senior ICs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary data team.
• Set technical direction for Kard’s data platform and its scalability.
• Increase automation and self-service to reduce manual work.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to embed data/ML into products.
• Ensure go-to-market teams have timely access to accurate data.
