Job summary

24-MAG LLC presents a specialised full-time opportunity for software engineers with strong Python, TypeScript, and full-stack skills. The role focuses on production systems, data platforms, and AI-assisted engineering workflows, spanning backend APIs, data pipelines, and React frontends.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with research engineering, operations, and product teams to enable robust, scalable, and observable platforms for advanced human-data and AI operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–5 years of professional software engineering experience or shipped projects as a recent graduate.
• Strong fundamentals in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience building CRUD applications with FastAPI, Flask, React, or similar technologies.
• Experience with relational or document databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite).
• Experience deploying services to a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Practical experience using coding agents as part of regular engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship production-ready features across backend APIs, data pipelines, and React frontends.
• Build and maintain backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Develop TypeScript-based frontend and platform components.
• Own features from initial requirements through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Build reliable systems that support day-to-day expert and operational workflows.
• Own client-facing data delivery workflows and contribute to data modelling and query optimization.
• Review agent-generated changes at the architectural and systems level.
