Job summary

Tripleseat is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines into Snowflake, using Stitch, Dagster, and Snowpipe. You will write Python and SQL to extract and transform data, shaping it into trustworthy models for reporting and product analytics.

You’ll collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to define data needs and support dashboards and insights. This remote US-friendly role offers competitive compensation and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar data-focused technical role.
• Proficiency in Python for building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and comfort with relational databases and schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.
• Experience with dbt (or a similar transformation tool) for data modeling.
• Experience with ELT/ETL tools such as Stitch, Fivetran, or similar.
• Comfortable working with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow).
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflows.
• Strong communicator with business and technical acumen who can partner with engineering, product, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines moving data into Snowflake using Stitch, Dagster, and Snowpipe.
• Write Python scripts to pull data from APIs and systems.
• Transform raw data into clean models using dbt with consistent conventions.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and resolve data quality issues.
• Document data sources, pipeline logic, and dbt models for team understanding.
• Design dbt models with staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Contribute to semantic layer definitions and business logic for trusted numbers.
• Support Snowflake configuration, access controls, and cost/performance tuning.
• Dig into data to answer ad hoc questions and surface insights.
• Build or support dashboards and reports tracking key metrics.
