Job summary

Capital One Shopping analytics team is seeking a Sr Manager IC to own and operate data marts that power merchant and advertiser analytics, reporting, and revenue attribution. You will drive standards, cataloging, and end-to-end governance across production marts, with hands-on migration work on Iceberg and policy enforcement in Trino.

This is a remote-eligible senior IC role with high impact. In this role you will ship three net-new systems in the first six months, collaborate across Sales,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10+ years engineering experience, 5+ years building shared data platforms / lakehouse infrastructure.
• Hands‑on Hive → Iceberg migration experience at scale on revenue‑attached systems.
• Track record of setting standards adopted by multiple product teams (≥3).
• Experience building or extending a data catalog used across teams.
• Data‑access governance under a regulated framework (GDPR/CCPA, SOX) with PII‑classification, deletion propagation, audit trail.

Responsibilities

• 65% building: Hive → Iceberg migration, catalog lineage, PII-classification, audit capture, dbt models, Airflow DAGs, access enforcement with Trino + CloudSentry.
• 35% technical coordination with Sales, BizOps, Analytics; governance decisions across teams.
• Production support and on‑call rotation for existing and future marts; own what you build.
