Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with multiple years of data analytics experience.
• Master’s degree preferred with 5+ years of analytics experience; degree to be completed by start date is acceptable.
• 5+ years of professional data analysis experience.
• 5+ years of leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• 2+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Refining a new enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Plan and execute validation projects.
• Assess quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One.
• Understand technical issues in analytical tools and assess tool risks and opportunities.
• Research and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytical tools.
• Communicate results clearly through validation reports and presentations.
• Develop solutions through collaboration and training opportunities.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
