Job summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a data analyst and programmer embedded in the M-CHORD research core to support the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4). You will build and analyze datasets from the PC4 registry using SQL and SAS, integrating data from 30+ tables and ensuring data quality.

You will collaborate with physicians, statisticians, and other data managers across 70+ sites, contribute to manuscripts and grant applications, and participate in hybrid or remote work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive SAS techniques to match-merge datasets with a one-to-many relationship.
• Experience with clinical health data and ICU terminology preferred.
• Experience in database design and automated data quality assurance.
• Excellent project documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee data projects using PC4 data; create targeted datasets via SQL.
• Engage with stakeholders and collaborate with other data managers for multi-registry efforts.
• Maintain documentation of data management decisions and analysis notes.
• Serve on the PC4 audit committee and monitor data quality across 70+ sites.
• Maintain Data Definitions Manual via Access; handle queries and reports.
• Attend 5-15 hours of Zoom meetings weekly with data collectors.
• Develop data collection tools and data dictionaries with investigators.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and prepare data for analytics.
• Liaise with vendors and collaborators to support PC4 data entry and reporting.
• Design and maintain complex databases with validation checks and security.
• Assist with manuscripts, reports, and grant applications; contribute to budgets.
