SHI is hiring a Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You will own data pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and governance in a primarily remote environment, collaborating with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, secure data practices, and supporting analytics, reporting, and AI workloads across regulated environments.
Qualifications
- Hands-on data engineering on Azure and Fabric platforms.
- Experience in building scalable data pipelines and lakehouse/warehouse solutions.
- Knowledge of data security, governance and compliance.
- Background in consulting or project-based delivery environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure data services.
- Develop scalable data lakehouse/warehouse architectures with Azure and Fabric.
- Maintain data models, ETL/ELT processes and historical data versioning.
- Implement data governance, security, lineage and quality controls.
- Collaborate with BI/analytics teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
