Job summary

SHI is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines using Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You will work closely with engineers, PMs, and clients to implement secure, scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.

This role is primarily remote with a home office setup, and involves state-level public sector and regulated industry projects.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience delivering modern data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with data pipelines, lakehouse/warehouse architectures, and relational data platforms.
Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance for sensitive data.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure data services.
Build scalable data lakehouse and warehouse solutions with Azure and Fabric.
Model data, manage ETL/ELT processes, and version historical data across sources.
Configure ADLS Gen2 and implement data validation, quality controls, and audits.
Collaborate with BI/analytics teams to prepare data for reporting and AI workloads.
Apply security best practices and HIPAA/PII considerations.
Support data governance, lineage, and operational readiness.
Provide monitoring, runbooks, and production support for pipelines.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliverables.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
