Job summary

SHI is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Fabric. The role partners with engineers, PMs, and client stakeholders to enable analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities.

The position emphasizes hands-on delivery, secure and scalable data solutions, and working on regulated environments. It is primarily remote with home office support per policy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering modern data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong data pipelines, lakehouse or warehouse architectures, and relational data platforms.
• Experience with production data platforms, data modeling, monitoring, and operational support.
• Knowledge of data security, governance, encryption, and regulated data handling.
• Experience in consulting or project-based delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure tools.
• Build and optimize data lakehouse/warehouse solutions with Azure and Fabric.
• Develop data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning for multi-source datasets.
• Configure Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 environments and lifecycle management.
• Apply data quality controls and governance practices including lineage and access controls.
• Collaborate with BI/analytics teams to prepare data for reporting and AI workloads.
