Job summary

The University of Maine System seeks an experienced technology leader to guide its enterprise Data Engineering & Analytics team. You will shape the university's enterprise data platform, improving reliability, scalability, and governance to support student success and strategic decision-making across Maine's public universities.

This remote, US-based role requires strong leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and a track record in building high-performing teams that deliver data-driven

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise data engineering, analytics, or BI services.
• Knowledge of modern data architecture, data integration, and enterprise data management.
• Strong PM, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentoring others and building collaborative, service-oriented teams.
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies and Agile; PeopleSoft desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technical team.
• Guide the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise data engineering and analytics services.
• Partner with academic and administrative leaders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Oversee enterprise data pipelines, integration services, analytics platforms, and governance.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and other IT leaders to advance enterprise technology initiatives.
• Promote modern engineering practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
