Job summary

Prominence Advisors is seeking a Data Engineer (Snowflake) to design, build, and optimize data pipelines for healthcare and life sciences clients. You will transform diverse data sources (EHRs, claims, APIs) into analytics-ready Snowflake structures and work closely with client teams to ensure scalable, cost-efficient solutions.

The role emphasizes production-grade data workflows, DevOps integration, and clear communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles.
2+ years of hands-on Snowflake in production environments with sizing, cost management, and data loading patterns.
Proficiency in Python or another programming/scripting language (Scala/Java).
Experience with transformation/orchestration in Snowflake using dbt, Snowflake Streams & Tasks, Snowpark, or Airflow.
Solid grounding in ETL/ELT, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and networking basics for Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows to enable analytics-ready data.
Transform raw sources into clean, reliable, and scalable data streams.
Explain tradeoffs and collaborate with client architects and analysts to deliver value.
