Job summary

Unlock Health is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize our modern cloud data platform. You will develop reliable data pipelines, ingest data from diverse sources, and deliver analytics-ready datasets for decision making.

Ideal candidates bring strong SQL, experience with Snowflake and/or BigQuery, Python, and an interest in automation, AI-assisted development, and data quality practices. Applicants must reside in the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data engineering or related role.
• Strong SQL skills with production data pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or BigQuery.
• Python for data processing, automation, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with dbt and cloud environments (AWS/Google).
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, Git, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake, BigQuery, SQL, and Python.
• Ingest and transform data from APIs, databases, cloud storage, marketing platforms, and third-party sources.
• Build reusable data models and transformation workflows with SQL, dbt, and established engineering practices.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting for reliable delivery.
• Automate manual processes and improve pipeline performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Use tools such as Fivetran, Supermetrics, and cloud services for data integration when appropriate.
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics teams, and stakeholders to deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets.
