Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines powering a self-service platform. You will work with senior engineers to modernize ingestion, transformation and data access across the company, using Python and SQL on a cloud data warehouse.

You will collaborate closely with teams, receive mentorship, and leverage AI tools to improve speed and quality. The role offers full-time remote work across the US with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• Strong, demonstrated proficiency in SQL and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for ingestion, transformation and validation.
• Contribute to data modeling and Snowflake data platform integrity.
• Integrate with Kafka-driven streams for real-time ingestion.
• Write tests, perform code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Add logging and observability, respond to production alerts, and mentor teammates.
