Job summary

Sand Cherry Associates seeks a Data Engineer to build and operationalize data pipelines, monitoring, and analytics for network performance in a remote US role. You will work with Skyline DataMiner, create reliable data workflows, and deliver executive-ready insights.

Ideal candidates combine data engineering and business intelligence skills with Telecommunications familiarity, and can translate complex data into concise, actionable information for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Skyline DataMiner to pull and analyze network telemetry, service availability, reliability, or performance data.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience building automated event-driven analytics, alerting, or reporting workflows.
• Understanding of network performance concepts and ability to collaborate with network engineers.
• Experience designing data pipelines for large/complex datasets.
• Experience developing dashboards and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that collect, process, and organize large volumes of network, operational, and performance data from multiple sources.
• Integrate data from platforms such as DataMiner and other monitoring systems.
• Develop scalable data models to support analytics, monitoring, and dashboards.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for work orders, network performance, and service metrics.
• Configure DataMiner as a centralized monitoring/analytics platform with metrics, triggers, and alerts.
• Aggregate monitoring data from distributed network sources to create a consolidated view of performance.
• Analyze high-volume telemetry during weather events, outages, and recovery events.
• Translate modeling assumptions into measurable performance indicators and monitoring criteria.
