Job summary

Hallmark is seeking a Data Engineer to design and evolve its enterprise data and analytics ecosystem. You will build scalable pipelines, integrate data across multiple platforms, and create datasets for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines using Teradata/Snowflake.
• Experience with data warehousing and data integration concepts.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data management best practices.
• Experience ensuring data quality, validation, and monitoring.
• Experience partnering with business analysts, BI engineers, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions.
• Understanding of and experience with retail industry data sources and business processes.
• Experience communicating complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver scalable data pipelines and data products.
• Integrate data from enterprise applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and operational systems.
• Build reusable datasets for reporting, analytics, and ML initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and reliability issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, and product owners to deliver data assets.
• Participate in sprint planning and solution design discussions; improve data quality and governance.
• Document data lineage, business rules, and metadata; ensure consistency across domains.
