Job summary

Hallmark Cards is seeking a Data Engineer to build and evolve enterprise data and analytics capabilities. You’ll design scalable data pipelines, integrate data across systems, and create datasets powering reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to deliver trusted data assets and drive modernization across the organization. The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and cross-functional teamwork within Hallmark’s Data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years designing and implementing data pipelines using Teradata and Snowflake.
• Experience with data warehousing and data integration concepts.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data management best practices.
• Experience ensuring data quality, validation, and monitoring.
• Experience partnering with analysts, BI engineers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products.
• Integrate data from multiple enterprise apps, cloud platforms, APIs, and systems.
• Create reusable datasets to support reporting, analytics, and ML.
• Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and reliability issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, and product owners to deliver data assets.
• Participate in sprint planning and design discussions; improve data quality and governance.
• Document data lineage, business rules, and metadata.
• Ensure consistency across enterprise data domains.
• Support modernization, AI/ML enablement, and self-service analytics.
• Adopt emerging technologies and engineering best practices.
