Job summary

2020 Companies is hiring a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to build scalable client data pipelines and notebooks that directly support analytics and client dashboards. You will implement incremental loads, design robust data ingestion patterns, and establish monitoring to prevent SLA breaches, ensuring data quality and timely, trusted insights for stakeholders.

You will work in a remote-capable, nationwide setup with Central Time Zone considerations, collaborating with BI developers and analysts

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and Delta Lake experience.
• Microsoft Fabric experience – you’ve built it, not just read about it.
• Dimensional modeling you can defend in a design review.
• Experience building scalable ingestion frameworks.
• Track record in client-facing or revenue-driven analytics environments.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and make data-informed decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in agile environments using features and user stories.
• Growth mindset and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality Microsoft Fabric pipelines and notebooks supporting analytics and reporting.
• Implement incremental loads, watermarking, and merging logic.
• Design ingestion patterns for rapid onboarding of new clients.
• Develop monitoring and observability to prevent SLA breaches.
• Ensure data quality and reliability across datasets.
• Design and optimize dimensional models for revenue analytics.
• Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Optimize Power BI performance and data refresh strategies.
• Collaborate with BI developers to maintain modeling standards.
• Contribute to GitHub workflows and dbt roadmap.
