Job summary

Franklin Fitch is partnering with a large professional services client to hire a Senior Data Engineer focused on Microsoft Fabric. You will shape architecture, set engineering standards and deliver data products the business relies on.

This is a hands-on role with real influence: design calls, mentor engineers, and act as the technical voice in conversations with senior stakeholders, while working fully remote in restricted states.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Production experience with Microsoft Fabric or strong Azure data stack (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
• Expert SQL including complex query design and performance tuning.
• Strong Python (PySpark) for transformation, automation and tooling.
• Proven track record in data modeling and Lakehouse/warehouse architecture.
• Experience leading technical delivery and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Fabric data solutions design from ingestion to semantic layers.
• Lead migration of legacy pipelines and ETL workloads into Fabric.
• Set CI/CD, testing, monitoring and data quality standards for pipelines.
• Build security, access control and data classification into the platform.
• Mentor engineers and partner with stakeholders to align roadmaps.
