Job summary

Adastra Resource Group is seeking a Data Architect to design scalable data models and build end-to-end data pipelines in a remote, direct-hire role. You will work with enterprise teams across Finance, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to enable decision-making through robust analytics on Azure.

You'll contribute to a Microsoft Fabric platform initiative, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Gen2, and Power BI to deliver trusted data assets and insights while maintaining data quality

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI.
• Strong SQL and relational database/dWH understanding.
• Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise reporting datasets.
• Knowledge of data lakes, cloud analytics architectures, APIs, and data-quality practices.
• Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization.

• Design and develop dimensional models, fact tables, and data products for enterprise reporting.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across ERP, finance, sales, operations, and supply chain systems.

You'll work on a live Azure data estate while helping build a new Microsoft Fabric platform from the ground up, with direct exposure to AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices alongside an experienced data team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop dimensional models, fact tables, and reusable data products for enterprise reporting
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations across ERP, finance, sales, operations, and supply chain systems
• Write, optimize, and support SQL code, stored procedures, and data-quality checks; investigate and resolve data discrepancies
• Support and build solutions on Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions
• Help build the Microsoft Fabric platform from the ground up, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, notebooks, pipelines, and Dataflows Gen2 using medallion architecture
• Migrate existing Azure workloads to Fabric while maintaining data quality and security
• Support semantic models and Power BI reporting datasets; use GitHub Copilot and explore agentic and MCP workflows for data engineering

What We're Looking For

• Practical experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence
• Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling
• Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise reporting datasets
• Working knowledge of data lakes, cloud analytics architectures, APIs, and data-quality practices
• Preferred: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Python/PySpark, Power BI, GitHub Copilot/CI/CD, or ERP/supply chain data background
