Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in a remote-capable role limited to the US. You will implement data integration, processing, and analytics capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure data systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ETL, data modeling, Snowflake, and cloud platforms, and will contribute to governance, quality, and CI/CD practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data engineering or related field.
• Experience with data pipelines, warehousing, governance, security, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Design data warehouse structures and ensure data quality.
• Implement data governance policies and data quality frameworks.
• Secure data with access controls and data protection practices.
• Analyze and optimize performance for large-scale data operations.
• Develop unit tests and automate data pipelines with CI/CD tooling.
• Coordinate deployments across environments including production and DR.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts on data requirements.
