Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate modern cloud-native data pipelines. You will build batch and streaming components, implement Snowflake-based patterns, and ensure data quality and governance.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with leads, and contribute to platform-level improvements while adhering to established architectures and security controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of data engineering experience.
• Or High School Diploma with 8+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience designing and operating cloud-based data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines following Medallion Architecture.
• Develop and support ingestion pipelines with Qlik Replicate.
• Create dbt models and CI/CD deployments.
• Implement Snowflake ingestion patterns and RBAC, masking, and governance.
• Develop Python-based pipeline components and monitoring.
