Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate modern data pipelines in a cloud-based platform. You will implement, extend, and support data pipelines while following established architectural patterns.

Daily hands-on contributor, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with Leads, and help advance platform ownership. This remote role is open to NC, AZ, and TX candidates, with a focus on reliability, security, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years in data engineering or an equivalent combination.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines following Medallion Architecture.
• Develop and support ingestion pipelines with Qlik Replicate.
• Create dbt models and implement automated data quality tests.
• Develop Snowflake ingestion patterns and governance controls.
• Work with AWS or Azure cloud services for data workloads.
• Troubleshoot pipelines and participate in production support.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with leads and stakeholders.
