Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Data Engineer II to join our Data Platform Engineering Organization. This remote role focuses on building scalable cloud-based data solutions, data pipelines, and data products that enable analytics and data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

You will work with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL to design, develop, and support reliable data architectures while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business objectives in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with data engineering experience.
• 2+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or cloud data platforms.
• Proven experience with cloud data platforms and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL.
• Develop data warehouse solutions and ETL/ELT processes for BI and analytics.
• Implement data quality validations, tests, and controls for reliable data assets.
• Support workflow orchestration, monitoring, and production operations with Airflow.
