Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Data Engineer II to join the Data Platform Engineering Organization and build scalable cloud data solutions that enable analytics and data-driven decisions across the bank. You will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL, while ensuring data quality and governance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building scalable cloud-based data pipelines and data products.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL and related tooling.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data quality validations, and CI/CD for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud data pipelines and data solutions using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python and SQL.
• Implement data warehouse models, ETL/ELT processes and ensure data quality and reliability.
• Develop data tests (dbt tests) and support production operations with Airflow and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions and optimize pipeline performance.
