Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Data Engineer II to join our Data Platform Engineering Organization. This remote role may be hired in North Carolina, Arizona, Florida or Texas, and you will build scalable cloud data pipelines and data products to enable analytics across the bank.

You will collaborate with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to design data models, implement ETL/ELT processes using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python and SQL, and ensure data quality and reliability in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years data engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data processing technologies.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with ETL/ELT development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL.
• Implement data warehouse solutions, dimensional models, and ETL/ELT processes for reporting and BI.
• Implement data quality validations and tests, including dbt tests.
• Develop data tests and monitor production data quality.
• Support workflow orchestration with Airflow and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with business users, product partners, analysts, and tech teams.
• Follow engineering standards and CI/CD processes.
• Participate in deployments and performance optimization.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve engineering efficiency.
