Job summary

CES-LINKS is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to own the data foundation of our K-12 education platform. You will design and maintain schemas, data contracts, and reliable pipelines ingesting SIS and rostering data from Clever and OneRoster, ensuring accuracy, security, and scalability.

This senior role emphasizes collaboration with product and project management, adherence to FERPA/COPPA, and frequent AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or a closely related backend/data role.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills for production schemas.
• Experience building data pipelines on major cloud platforms.
• K-12/edtech familiarity and FERPA/COPPA awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models and contracts.
• Develop and operate data pipelines and integrations from SIS sources.
• Ensure data quality, validation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering on data access and formats changes.
• Support school and district implementations with data mapping and validation.
