Job summary

Limetree is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to own client data ingestion and maintain our pipelines for direct mail, digital marketing, and reporting. You will transform unfamiliar feeds into reliable data, document processes, and work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer in a remote-capable role.

• Several years of hands-on data engineering experience in production.
• Ability to take messy source files and turn them into reliable production feeds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Comfort handling personally identifiable information in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up feeds from client/vendor systems and validate data quality.
• Map incoming data into schemas, identify sensitive fields, and apply privacy rules.
• Build SQL, Python, and Spark pipelines for new clients with consistent structures.
• Set up scheduled jobs, monitors, and testing for new data streams.
• Own day-to-day checks for Databricks workflows and AWS jobs; fix root causes.
• Collaborate with analytics and campaign teams to ensure reliable data delivery.
